Words from Women Who’ve Worked with Janet.

Real stories from those who’ve taken the time to reconnect with themselves and found strength, clarity, and peace along the way.

"Janet, was able to help me during these uncertain times emotionally, professionally, and spiritually."

Spring of 2020 was an interesting time to say the least - not only was there a lot going on in the world but I had been at a crossroads for some time regarding my career as a nurse. At this point I had been a general medical surgical nurse for about three years. I truly enjoy what I do but more importantly I love the people I work with. Nevertheless, I have an “itch” so to say, to try something new - I want to continue developing my skills and knowledge within the nursing realm and yet I was at a loss to what I wanted next. In addition, change is something that although I have come to understand as necessary and often good, it is equally unknown and therefore uncomfortable and anxiety producing to me.

Janet, was able to help me during these uncertain times emotionally, professionally, and spiritually. We worked together to begin small changes in my life - I trialed new techniques, found what worked and what didnt work, and met with her on a weekly basis to check in. This was key because it allowed the space and time to address big questions and I had someone to help keep me accountable towards my goals. I truly appreciated how Janet was able to take my words and experiences and re-phrase them into a concise reflection. She also sparked personal reflections by asking key questions. With each session she was respectful, professional, and always was able to meet me where I was in my process of change.

"Working with Janet felt empowering and valuable. She’s someone I trust - always willing to listen without judgment."

Before working with Janet, I felt stuck in the decision to change my career path. I was feeling the pressure to provide and was close to accepting just any job to pay the bills - even though I knew it would likely lead to burnout and a lack of fulfillment. I dreaded that path. Our coaching sessions helped me dig deeper within myself and connect to my own truth. They gave me the courage and a sense of freedom to envision my future and take action by setting achievable goals.

Working with Janet felt empowering and valuable. She’s someone I trust - always willing to listen without judgment. What I appreciated most was the safe space she created. I could share anything and feel fully supported. Through this journey, I gained a new sense of empowerment and perspective. I found the courage to apply for roles that truly aligned with what I was looking for and felt equipped for the interview process. One of the biggest insights I’ve gained is that the answers lie within me. I’ve learned to believe in my innate ability to thrive, to see myself as successful and fruitful and to move beyond a limited mindset. I would absolutely recommend Janet’s coaching to incoming nursing students, new nurses seeking clarity, and seasoned nurses feeling stuck in their path.

"Working with Janet felt easy and natural. Being a nurse herself, she understood the challenges and stressors I face."

Before I started working with Janet, I was low on energy, struggling to focus, and found it difficult to follow through on goals - both at work and at home. As a night shift nurse, switching between night and day routines was exhausting. I had so many unfinished projects around the house, but I constantly felt either tired or overwhelmed. I had also gained weight and felt physically uncomfortable and out of shape. The biggest impact of our coaching sessions was simply having someone to talk to each week who truly listened. Janet offered thoughtful suggestions without judgment. I often hesitate to share things with friends because everyone has their own struggles, and I don’t want to burden them. But our sessions gave me a consistent space to reflect on my goals and stay accountable. Rather than trying to tackle everything at once, Janet helped me break things down into smaller, manageable steps. Each week we looked back at what had happened, what I’d aimed to do, and how we could adjust moving forward. That time for reflection helped me understand what was working — and why — and what I might need to shift. Working with Janet felt easy and natural.

Being a nurse herself, she understood the challenges and stressors I face. I was initially unsure if knowing her beforehand would make things uncomfortable, but she was so professional, and I always felt heard and supported. She remembered what we discussed each week, offered thoughtful suggestions, and balanced sharing from her own experience in a way that was helpful but never distracting. What I appreciated most was how comfortable I felt opening up to her. Our conversations were relaxed and engaging, but she also knew when to gently steer things back to the goal. I especially enjoyed starting our sessions with meditation — it gave me a chance to pause, reset, and be fully present.

The biggest benefit I gained was a sense of relief from overwhelm. Janet helped me break big tasks into small steps and reminded me to acknowledge progress instead of just focusing on what I hadn’t done. I’ve realized that I tend to overlook my accomplishments. Having someone to reflect with and be accountable to made a huge difference. I also learned that working alongside others — whether it’s family, friends, or future collaborators — can be a powerful motivator. I’d recommend Janet’s coaching to anyone feeling stressed or juggling too much. She’s the kind of coach who helps you find direction, regain control, and take that important first step toward improving your quality of life.

"After working with Janet, I was able to take a clear look at where I wanted to direct myself."

I felt like I was at a cross road in my career. I was not ready to retire but needed a change from my floor position. I was unable to verbalize exactly what I found lacking or what exactly I wanted to do. I was at a complete standstill. After working with Janet, I was able to take a clear look at where I wanted to direct myself. To find passion in my

position, which is of utmost importance to me. I found Janet easy to talk to. It was important to be open and honest regarding how I felt. It allowed me to feel confident that she had the information needed to assist me. I felt that is was a two-way relationship. It did not feel like I needed to adjust my story to change how the relationship progressed. Which again, made the results seem very accurate to what I wanted to achieve.

Having participated in coaching opened my eyes to my objectives, that before Istarted were hidden from me due to the blocking I was doing subconsciously. I now know where to direct my energy to get the results that I want. I learned what was important to me. In my career and my personal life goals for my health. I was spinning without direction and she helped me focus and make decisions that were focused on what I wanted to achieve.

I would recommend Janet to coach anyone at any juncture in his or her career. I wish I would have had someone to assist me earlier and I feel I would have been looking back at a different picture. I cannot thank Janet enough for her invaluable assistance.
